Radiy Khabirov commented on news about municipal head's resignation

On Monday, at a government meeting, the Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, commented on media reports about the resignations of municipal heads in some republic districts.

"We all know that from September 6 to 8, we held elections to representative bodies of municipal and urban districts. And accordingly, we are forming new representative bodies of municipalities. The powers of the head of a municipality end with the expiration of the powers of this representative body. Now, in the vast majority of municipalities, we are seeing the resignation of heads of municipalities. I am explaining this so specifically because the media is reporting on the resignation of heads of districts. No one is leaving their positions. Yes, I can say that we are carrying out certain personnel work. Some, a small part of the heads of municipalities, leave for various reasons. However, the overwhelming majority of heads, after the council resigns and their powers cease, apply for a competition, and during this time, their deputies will perform their powers. We will not allow some power vacuum to form,” noted Radiy Khabirov.

Addressing the first deputy Chief of Staff of the Head of Bashkortostan Azat Badranov, Radiy Khabirov instructed the completion of the necessary procedures in a very organized and quick manner.
