Bashkir honey invariably ranks first in ratings and tourist lists on "What to bring from Ufa and other regional cities." Honey is so popular that even astronauts eat it, and experts value Bashkir beekeepers for their advanced scientific research. Therefore, the Tutu.ru service awarded Bashkiria the title of the honey capital of Russia.
They compiled a list of "100 capitals of Russia"—cities and regions famous for their products, goods, and events. Thus, Perm has been named the capital of posikunchiks—small meat pies that squirt juice when bitten. Pokrov was named the capital of chocolate, Tula—of course—gingerbread, Suzdal—cucumbers, and Zelenogradsk—cats. The complete list of "capitals" can be found here.
As reported by Bashinform News Agency, Bashkir honey is recognized as one of Russia's most popular and recognizable regional brands. It is also called the most delicious in the country.
