Bashkiria to present best tourist routes at International Exhibition in Moscow

The 30th International Forum and Exhibition "Leisure" will be held from September 17 to 19 at the Expocentre Central Exhibition Complex in Moscow. The forum is traditionally held at the beginning of the new autumn-winter tourist season. Industry experts will discuss the prospects of an updated recreation concept for Russians, focusing on quality of life. The exhibition is held with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the State Duma Committee on Physical Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth Affairs, industry associations, etc. The organizer of the international forum and exhibition is the Euroexpo group of companies.

Bashkiria will participate actively in the forum; the republic will traditionally present its rich tourist potential here. Participants and guests of the exhibition will learn about popular tourist routes, historical, cultural, and natural attractions of the republic, and new products of the upcoming tourist season: winter routes, ethnic tours, ski and snowmobile tours, etc.

The exposition of Bashkiria at the forum traditionally arouses interest. Last year, the republic presented a Bashkir yurt. Anyone could see its interior, and artificial snow symbolized the beginning of the winter tourist season. During the three days of the exhibition forum, guests could try Bashkir honey with tea and buy souvenirs—real wild-hive honey and products from the Terra Bashkiria line.

Since 2019, Bashkiria has been actively developing its tourism infrastructure. The head of the republic, Radiy Khabirov, considers this area one of the most important for the region.

"As many people as possible should see the amazing nature of Bashkiria," says Radiy Khabirov.

As a result, the republic has made a real breakthrough in developing the tourism industry over the past 5 years. By the end of 2023, the tourist flow to the region reached 2.2 million people. For comparison, in 2018, it was 1.169 million people. This was facilitated by creating new means of tourist accommodation - hotels, tourist bases, glamping, and the implementation in Bashkiria of a wide range of state support measures for entrepreneurs working in domestic tourism.

In 2024, the total amount of state support for the development of tourism in the republic was 900 million rubles, including 530.4 million rubles for the implementation of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality Industry" (federal funds—519.8 million rubles, funds from the budget of the Republic of Bashkortostan—10.6 million rubles).
