Almost half of grain areas have been threshed in Bashkiria
The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Bashkiria reported that Bashkiria's agricultural enterprises had threshed about 45% of the area, or 740,000 hectares, of grain and leguminous crops. The gross grain harvest amounted to about 1.7 million tons, with an average yield of 2.3 tons/ha.
Almost 720 thousand tons of winter grain and 960 thousand tons of spring grain crops were harvested.
The department believes that thanks to good weather, the farms will pass the "equator" of the harvesting campaign in the coming days. At the start, rains significantly slowed down the harvest.
Last year, the "equator" was passed on August 18 with a similar harvest - 1.73 million tons with an average yield of 2 tons/ha from 885 thousand hectares of area.
