Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Bashkiria Elena Galimulina said Bashkiria has already received 1.18 million doses of the flu vaccine.
The vaccines were purchased using federal and Republican budget funds and are intended for free vaccination of people from risk groups. The deputy minister noted that large enterprises also carry out vaccination at their own expense.
This year, 2.4 million residents of Bashkiria (60% of the population) will receive vaccinations - this number is necessary to create public immunity.
Those working in education, healthcare, social services, housing and community amenities, public transport, and poultry farms have the right to a free flu vaccine. Schoolchildren, college and university students, people over 60, and conscripts are vaccinated free of charge.
As epidemiologists explained, large groups, elderly people, and people with chronic diseases must be vaccinated.
