According to the Bashkir Statistical Agency, from April to June, 1.5% of the working population, or 30.5 thousand people, were officially unemployed in Bashkiria. Thus, the unemployment rate has reached a historic low.
“We can forget about the word unemployment for several years. Until 2030, the number of young people entering the labor market will only decrease. There will be no replenishment of the labor market. Therefore, we forget about unemployment. The main challenge today for our economy is the shortage of personnel. Now the task of each employer is to think in advance about who will work at their enterprise in 3, 5, 10 years,” said Lenara Ivanova, Minister of Family, Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Bashkiria.
She also added that currently, in the region, there are, on average, 4 vacancies per applicant, and in manufacturing and industry - 8.
The largest working population is employed in wholesale and retail trade (17.7%) and manufacturing (16%). 9.2% work in education, 9.0% in construction, 8.2% in mining, and 6.7% in healthcare.
As Bashinform News Agency reported earlier, by the end of April, 11.7 thousand people were registered with the employment service of Bashkiria, of which 10.5 thousand were officially registered unemployed.
