First participants of International Geological Championship arrived in Ufa

The II International Geological Championship "GeoChallenge" participants have started arriving in Ufa. The day before, students of the University of Geological Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan arrived in the capital of the republic. All the guys from Tashkent are first- and second-year students of the faculty of "Geology of mineral deposits" of the higher educational institution.

As per tradition, the guests were met at the Ufa airport by employees of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Bashkortostan and girls in national clothes to the tunes of kurai and chak-chak.

The hospitality of the locals pleasantly surprised the guys. The young people had never been to Bashkortostan before, but they had read a lot about the republic. A total of 9 people flew to Ufa from Uzbekistan.

“I am the leader of the "Uchkuduk" team of the Republic of Uzbekistan. I am very glad to welcome everyone, I have heard a lot about the beauty of your nature, but I have never been to Bashkortostan. We would like to visit unique corners and enjoy these wonderful places and of course, take part in competitions, meet peers, learn something and continue their development in the geological field,” Ulugbek Rakhmonov shared his impressions.

Let us remind you that from September 2 to 9, the second GeoChallenge championship will be held in Bashkiria. Students of universities and colleges of geological profile from 15 subjects of Russia, including from new regions, as well as from ten foreign countries will come to participate in it. The championship is held on the initiative of the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov and the leadership of the Federal Agency for Subsoil Use (Rosnedra).
