Bashkiria is among the top regions where extraordinary fruits, particularly lemons, are grown. Such data is provided by the travel service "Tutu."
The lemonarium in Ufa appeared in the Soviet years - the decision to build it was made in 1984, and in 1990, the greenhouse opened. Lemon seedlings were brought from Tashkent. Since then, not only lemons but also citrons have been grown in Bashkiria. Also, in the lemonarium, you can see the rare South Asian calamondin, grapefruit, mandarin, orange, kumquat, and lime from the Central Botanical Garden in Moscow. There are even lemons of Bashkir varieties.
The lemon ripening season begins in November and lasts until February, so at other times, you will most likely not be able to buy anything in the lemonarium—few fruits are immediately snapped up. But you can always sign up for a tour or arrange a photo shoot.
