The Government of Bashkortostan purchased and transferred 65 video cameras to the Ufa Department of Internal Affairs. Deputy Prime Minister Irek Sagitov reported that the Ufa police would need additional equipment for large-scale celebratory events this year - the 450th anniversary of Ufa and the XII International Sports Forum "Russia - a Sports Power."
The Deputy Prime Minister noted that developing a network of video surveillance systems is one priority for ensuring public safety.
The Ufa administration also transferred six sets of equipment to law enforcement agencies that allow connection to the hardware and software complex "Safe City."
The sets were transferred to the duty units of police departments No. 1 (Inors), 9 (Kirovsky District), 10 (Sovetsky District), and 11 (Dyomsky District).
"This will increase the safety of residents. We also discussed preparations for the city's anniversary. Law enforcement officers bear a great deal of work and responsibility. Everyone is ready to work,” said the head of the city administration, Ratmir Mavliev.
