Telegram and VKontakte creator Pavel Durov detained in France

TASS reported, referring to the French TV channel LCI, that Telegram and VKontakte creator Pavel Durov was detained in France. The Russian was detained at the Paris Le Bourget airport.

Law enforcement agencies consider Durov an accomplice in drug trafficking, crimes against children, and fraud due to insufficient moderation in Telegram, refusal to cooperate with law enforcement agencies, as well as the ability to send cryptocurrency in the messenger, TF1 TV channel reports. The entrepreneur is currently in custody.
