Ten new modern trolleybuses "Gorodzhanin" will go on routes in Ufa

Ten new modern trolleybuses, "Gorodzhanin," will go on routes #13 and #16, which run from Boulevard Slavy and the Puppet Theater to the Belorechensky microdistrict. On August 19, the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, handed the keys to the trolleybus drivers.

"This is another gift to the city in honor of the 450th anniversary of Ufa. They are very dear to us because this is a joint Bashkir-Belarusian production, and we are delighted that the Ufa Trolleybus and Tram Plant are developing simultaneously. Its production volumes and revenues are increasing. We have already handed over 15 of these trolleybuses to Ufa, and as far as I know, drivers and people speak of them as very high-quality, good workhorses. And they are wonderful in appearance. We hope you, dear drivers, will enjoy working on them. And, of course, our residents will appreciate it. These trolleybuses will run on some of the most popular routes. They have a certain reserve of self-propelled running. I congratulate everyone and wish them success,” said Radiy Khabirov at the award ceremony. The head of the region inspected one of the trolleybuses. It can accommodate more than 100 people and has a ramp and a special place for placing a wheelchair. It has a system that increases autonomous running up to 30 km. The “Gorodzhanin” has an electronic passenger information system, climate control and video surveillance system, and GLONASS satellite navigation system. For the convenience of passengers, USB sockets for charging mobile devices are installed in the cabin. The bodies of the new trolleybuses are branded: on a green background, there is an image of the “jubilee marten,” a character created specifically for the 450th anniversary of Ufa. The contract for the supply of trolleybuses was worth 341 million rubles.

The "Gorodzhanin" brand trolleybus project is a product of Russian-Belarusian cooperation: the bodies are supplied from Minsk, and the rest are assembled in Ufa mainly from Russian components.

According to the Ministry of Transport of the Republic, the revenue of the Ufa Trolleybus and Tram Plant for 2022 amounted to 382 million rubles, and in 2023 - more than 5 billion rubles. For 2024, growth to 6-6.5 billion rubles is predicted.
