Security measures to be strengthened at events in 450th Ufa’s anniversary

The Ufa administration discussed security issues at events in honor of the 450th anniversary of the capital.

Representatives of the internal affairs agencies, fire, non-departmental security, the city Public Safety Center, and structural divisions of the municipality made a report. It was noted that the personnel are ready to ensure public order and will not allow attempts to commit terrorist acts. Before the events, an inspection of objects located in adjacent territories is carried out. The locking devices in the basements and attics of apartment buildings are checked. In total, 378 CCTV cameras will be used for visual control in 13 places of mass presence of people.

Preventive measures have been organized to ensure fire safety. Particular attention is paid to the presence and serviceability of automatic fire protection systems, primary fire extinguishing equipment, compliance with plans, and evacuation routes. 78 people and 5 units of fire-fighting equipment will be involved in the places where the holiday is held. From August 15 to September 15, the capital is having a month of safety. As part of the event, educational and preschool institutions conduct training exercises on evacuating children and staff and practice interaction in the event of fires, emergencies, and the threat of terrorist attacks. Fire safety briefings are held with the heads of institutions, teaching staff, and service personnel.
