Bashkortostan Ministry of Health named Top 3 diseases detected during medical examinations

The Bashkortostan Ministry of Health named the Top 3 diseases detected during medical examinations. The head of the department, Airat Rakhmatullin, presented a report “On conducting medical examinations, including for people of working age” at the government’s operational meeting.

According to the minister, circulatory system diseases take first place among newly detected diseases, respiratory diseases second, diabetes mellitus third, and malignant neoplasms fourth. The working-age population cohort maintains the same trend in newly detected diseases.

“Based on the results of preventive measures, 228,402 cases of diseases were detected for the first time, of which more than 50% were newly detected diseases in people of working age, 87.1% were taken for medical observation. According to the results of preventive examinations, 38,947 patients were recommended spa treatment, 292,676 people were sent for additional diagnostic examinations not included in the scope of medical examination, and 709 people were sent to resolve the issue of providing high-tech assistance,” said Airat Rakhmatullin.
