All-Russian conference "Turks of Russia" to be held in Bashkiria

The All-Russian conference "Turks of Russia" will be held in Bashkiria from August 14 to 17. The cities of Ufa and Baymak will host it.

As part of the forum, a round table, "Prospects of Ethno-National, Ethno-Confessional and Russian Civil Identity of the Turks of Russia," will be held in Ufa on August 14.

A conference "Turks of Russia" is scheduled for August 15. On August 16, guests will visit the III International Festival "Bashkort Aty" in the Baymaksky District.

The chairman of the World Kurultay of Bashkirs, scientist Yuldash Yusupov, will moderate the scientific section. The chairperson of the Commission on Culture and the Media of the World Kurultay of Bashkirs, poetess Larisa Abdullina, will moderate the section on children's content in literature and the media.

“The conference will bring together 60-70 specialists from cities such as Moscow, St. Petersburg, Ufa, Astrakhan, Kazan, Cheboksary, Makhachkala, Yakutsk,” Yuldash Yusupov told Bashinform. “The main topic will be solidarity and strengthening the unity of the peoples of Russia. This time, much attention will be paid to creating children's Turkic content. Writers, publishers of children's magazines, filmmakers, animators, and representatives of other industries will take part in discussing this topic.

The festival was organized by the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Bashkortostan with the support of the Fund for the Support of Islamic Culture, Science and Education. The goal of the event is to strengthen the interethnic and interfaith unity of the peoples of the Russian Federation, present the traditions of the Turkic peoples, and preserve and disseminate the traditions and culture of the Turkic peoples.
