As the Minister of Nature Management and Ecology of the Republic of Bashkortostan Niyaz Fazylov reported on social networks, the national project "Ecology" is ending this year. It will be replaced by a new project—"Ecological Well-being," within the framework of which conditions for a healthy and safe environment for life, ensuring economic growth and new opportunities, and improving citizens' quality of life will be created.
"The new national project will include 6 federal projects: "General Cleaning," "Closed Cycle Economy," "Clean Air," "Water of Russia," "Forest Preservation," "And Biodiversity Preservation." We plan to take part in five of them. Thus, to eliminate hazardous objects of accumulated environmental damage on the territory of Bashkortostan, work is actively underway to prepare objects for inclusion in the federal "General Cleaning" project. Due to the large areas and volumes of accumulated waste, 90 landfills are included in the preliminary list for inclusion in this project. Based on the supervisory authorities' inspection results, out of 30 objects with signs of accumulated harm, 17 are included in the State Register. This year, it is planned to develop the design and estimate documentation for liquidating 9 unauthorized landfills, ”the minister informed.
Work is underway to transition the republic to a closed-loop economy. An action plan has been approved, providing 19 target indicators for implementing the plan until 2030. The main activities include the creation of new waste processing and disposal facilities, the introduction of resource-saving technologies, and the involvement of waste in secondary circulation.
“Proposals for improving the environmental quality of water bodies have also been prepared. Seventeen events have been sent to the Federal Agency for Water Resources for inclusion in the new federal project Water of Russia. The event to clean the Yuryuzan River bed has already been preliminarily approved,” Niyaz Fazylov reported.
