Russian history textbook for grades 5-9 to appear in 2025
Russian history textbooks for grades 5-9 will appear in schools by the 2025/26 academic year, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko announced. Recall that earlier, the authorities assumed that the history manual for middle school would be ready by the beginning of the 2024/25 academic year.
Recall that high school students will begin studying history in Russian schools using new unified textbooks on September 1. Thus, when the manual appears for middle school, schoolchildren will receive a unified history. Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that this is precisely why they worked on the new textbooks.
"We need a fundamental state version that should be communicated to everyone who reads this textbook," the president said.
