Bashkiria discusses ways to develop municipal education systems

Meetings on the prospective development of education systems in municipalities have started in the republic. Earlier, the Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, resumed holding such sessions in the districts ahead of the traditional August republican pedagogical council, which will be held in Sterlitamak this year.

Six meetings are planned in Bashkiria. The first was held the day before under the chairmanship of the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkiria, Ural Kilsenbaev. Heads of districts and cities, heads of education departments, and representatives of educational institutions arrived in Sibay to discuss current industry development issues.

The meeting participants discussed issues such as developing schools' material and technical base, equipping them with modern equipment, etc. Let us recall that in Bashkiria, thanks to the support of Radiy Khabirov, 140 school buildings have been renovated since 2022 within the framework of the federal program "Modernization of School Education Systems." In 2024, 31 school buildings will be renovated in the republic, 6 of which will be completed by September 1. Another 25 schools will be renovated by September 1, 2025.

Funds for 1.8 billion rubles were allocated for the project's implementation in 2024, including 1.48 billion rubles from the federal budget and 282.6 million from the Bashkiria budget.

Earlier, Radiy Khabirov told how the republic attracts funds for school renovation. In particular, he noted that he evaluates the work of government members by their ability to lobby the region's interests. Since most federal programs allocate money through competition, preparing and justifying the application and preparing cost estimates is essential. Therefore, all ministries and departments of Bashkiria are focused on participating in such contests and winning.

All schools undergoing renovation are equipped with modern equipment and new furniture, provided with the necessary textbooks and manuals, and the surrounding area is improved. In addition, the meeting participants analyzed the personnel situation in education and the possibilities of attracting specialists to this area.

The First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan highly appreciated the effectiveness of the meetings. The proposals developed at them will be presented at the republican August pedagogical council.

During the trip to Sibay, Ural Kilsenbayev visited socially significant facilities—the construction site of a new modular building for the employment center in Sibay and the kindergarten "Svetlyachok," which needs repairs. All issues related to these facilities have been taken under control.
