After repairs, the Shakshinsky Bridge will serve citizens for another 50 years, said Ufa Mayor Ratmir Mavliev.
The head of the capital's administration emphasized that this largely determines the need to carry out work and temporarily block traffic.
As the mayor previously shared, the need to update the facility was long overdue, as the bridge was in a pre-crash state.
The Shakshinsky Bridge in Ufa is being repaired within the national project “Safe Quality Roads.” Car restrictions were introduced here the day before. To prevent vibrations of bridge structures during the work, traffic was closed entirely for 15 days—until 23:00 on July 24, Bashinform News Agency reported.
The primary detour route for motorists is via the East Exit. It is also possible to use the train.
