“Boxing” bear was caught in camera trap in Bashkiria

The other day, a bear wandered into the territory of the Urai hunting reserve in the Kuyurgazinsky district of Bashkiria. Some moments of his life were captured thanks to a camera trap. Bashinform News Agency was informed about this by the Republic’s Ministry of Ecology press service.

Remarkably, a bear appeared in these places. The farm is in a forest-steppe zone adjacent to a natural steppe—not quite the typical habitat for these animals. The lens caught the moment when the bear, standing on its hind legs, probably drove insects away from itself. To an outside observer, the animal may be boxing with an imaginary “opponent.”
