Bashkiria spoke about new measures to support families with children

At an operational government meeting on Monday, Lenara Ivanova, the Minister of Family, Labor, and Social Protection of the Population of Bashkiria, discussed new measures to support families with children in the region.

According to the minister, large families in the republic have the right to free visits to museums, cultural and recreation parks, and exhibitions that are state property or municipal property, regardless of place of residence.

Also, starting September 1, 2024, schoolchildren from large families living in the republic's cities can take advantage of free road travel (except for taxis) in city traffic and city ground electric transport.

In addition, as of July 1 of this year, large families can apply for compensation for the cost of education for children studying full-time on a paid basis in republican colleges. The amount of such compensation is equal to 50% of the cost of training but not more than 30,000 rubles per academic year.

“From January 1, 2024, the amount of payments to substitute families raising orphans and children left without parental care has been increased by 18.5%. From this year, payments range from 8,953 rubles to 11,172 rubles per month for each child. The payment amount depends on the age and health status of the child adopted into the family and is paid monthly. Also, in April of this year, our republic adopted a law establishing payments for orphans as “pocket money.” This support measure will affect 432 orphans aged 7 to 18 years living in 15 centers for promoting family education in the republic,” Lenara Ivanova reported.
