Head of Bashkiria called for more active participation in tourism development projects

The Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, attended an operational government meeting at the Republic Management Center on Monday and called on the heads of municipalities to participate more actively in various federal projects and grant competitions for tourism development.

“We need to participate more actively in the next application campaign. Every time I tell the heads of municipalities that there is a certain potential for economic well-being in tourism. This must be taken seriously,” said Radiy Khabirov.

In turn, the Minister of Entrepreneurship and Tourism of the Republic, Zukhra Gordienko, noted that in 2024, Bashkiria received a single federal subsidy of 166.2 million rubles to develop priority tourism areas. In terms of the volume of funds raised, Bashkortostan ranks 7th in Russia and 3rd in the Volga Federal District.

“As of today, the Russian Ministry of Tourism has completed accepting documents for the competition for a single subsidy for grants for developing tourism infrastructure. In total, 72 projects have been announced from our republic; applications have also been submitted for arranging a tourist code for the city center and holding events. The winners will be determined after July 20,” the minister reported.

She also noted that this year, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation is holding another competition for providing subsidies in 2025–2027 for creating modular non-permanent accommodation facilities. To participate in the program, it is now necessary to prepare a pool of potential applications and investment projects from each municipality and provide them with land plots suitable for creating tourism infrastructure.
