Today, June 21, in Ufa, the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, participated in a gala event dedicated to Medical Worker Day and congratulated all healthcare industry employees on their professional holiday.
“On behalf of all residents of the republic, I express my deep respect and gratitude to you for your noble work, empathy, mercy, and readiness to help—special thanks to healthcare veterans, who have decades of conscientious work behind them.
Our absolute priorities are the health of the republic’s residents and strengthening the healthcare system. Compared to 2018, we have increased investments in industry development by more than 1.5 times. This year, they exceeded 117 billion rubles.
We provide high-tech care from 38 medical organizations. Last year, almost 24 thousand people received it. Digital technologies and cooperation with federal centers allow our doctors to achieve good results in saving lives and treating patients,” said Radiy Khabirov.
The head of the republic noted that 118 medical institution buildings will be overhauled as part of the healthcare modernization program in Ufa. 500 million rubles will be allocated this year to strengthen the capital’s healthcare, and starting next year, 1.5 billion rubles will be allocated annually.
Much attention is paid to personnel issues. Medical classes and pre-universities are opening in schools. Bashkir State Medical University is among Russia's top ten best medical universities. In terms of the number of young specialists attracted to rural areas within the framework of the “Zemsky Doctor” and “Zemsky Paramedic” programs, our republic is among the top three in the country.
“Many of our doctors volunteered in the special military operation zone, and today, they are saving the lives of our soldiers. The medical company formed in the republic assists the Bashkortostan motorized rifle regiment and other units. It consists of doctors, paramedics, nurses, and drivers. I want to thank all our colleagues for their courage and professionalism. We are proud of you!
More than 8.5 thousand SMO participants received decent treatment in our republic's clinics. Many of them returned to duty after successful operations and recovery.
To provide medical care to residents of new Russian regions, three volunteer groups and 27 visiting teams, which included more than 570 specialists, were formed and sent. Our doctors treated 150 thousand patients, half of them were children, and conducted 120 thousand diagnostic tests,” noted the Head of the Republic
Radiy Khabirov thanked the medical workers for their work, patience, loyalty to professional duty, golden hands, and kind hearts and presented state awards to Bashkortostan and Russia.
