In Bashkiria, the winners of the competition for grants from the Head of the Republic for preserving and developing state languages and the languages of the peoples of Bashkortostan have been determined. According to the Grant Fund of the Head of the Republic, the winners included 33 non-profit organizations whose projects will receive 50 million rubles. Of these, 15 organizations became winners of grant competitions of the Head of the Republic for the first time, including the first victory of representatives from the Dyurtyulinsky district.
Organizations from Ufa took the leading positions among the republic's municipalities —17 projects—with the Gafuriysky district in second place—2 projects. Also among the winners were organizations from Russia's four constituent entities: the Perm region, Moscow, Chelyabinsk, and Sverdlovsk regions.
The winners were distributed according to the languages covered: Bashkir—25, Chuvash—2, Mordovian, Udmurt, and Mari—one each. Also, three multilingual projects cover Bashkir, Tatar, Russian, and English.
What projects should we look forward to? For example, in the village of Ermuchino, Tuymazinsky district, an ethnolinguistic museum, “Bishkurai,” will be created, where educational master classes will be held to teach and popularize the Bashkir language. It is also planned to develop an ethnolinguistic digital product, “Bishkurai,” as a multimedia and interactive application.
As part of the project “Bashkir Ethnocultural Club for Children and Parents,” lessons in the Bashkir language and culture will be held for residents of Moscow and the Moscow region. The aim is to reveal participants' creative potential in Bashkir literature, music, and culture.
The “Etker” media center project will be implemented based on the Belebey Chuvash gymnasium. This project includes educational and cultural events that will help people better understand the traditions of the Chuvash people and popularize the Chuvash language in Bashkortostan. The final event will be the citywide festival “Language is the Soul of the People.”
