At an operational government meeting, Housing and Communal Services Minister Irina Golovanova reported on the operation of the CCTV camera system in the republic.
Thus, when implementing the “Bashkir Yards” program, “all-seeing eyes” are installed at the sites before starting work. Subsequently, connecting them to the Safe City APK software complex is technically possible. In addition, residents of apartment buildings will have access to the cameras, allowing them to monitor work progress in real-time.
Since 2019, the program has installed 2,228 cameras. Of these, 1,307 are connected to the “Safe City,” 495 transmit information to the municipal administration, and 426 are available to residents.
Another 1,816 cameras were installed in the “Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment” program.
The video cameras cover children's and sports grounds, parking lots, and entrance areas, guaranteeing the safety of children and residents' personal property.
After hearing the report, the head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, noted that video surveillance cameras should appear in every yard if they help make life safer. He instructed the secretary of the interdepartmental Council of Public Security, Valery Oleynik, to study the feasibility of installing cameras and their further modernization.
