The 2024 sowing campaign has officially ended in Bashkiria, and the head of the region, Radiy Khabirov, announced it on his Telegram channel. The republic's farmers coped well despite challenging weather conditions, including frost and snow. Recently, the farms of Bashkortostan finished sowing the latest June crop—buckwheat.
More than 2 million hectares of spring crops were sown, and grains and legumes were sown on another 1.27 million hectares. Wheat occupies half of the area, and barley, oats, and other crops are the rest.
The largest areas, from 42 to 76 thousand hectares with spring crops, were sown in the Khaibullinsky, Baymaksky, Sterlitamaksky, Ilishevsky, and Meleuzovsky districts.
“I thank our farmers for their work and wish them success!” wrote Radiy Khabirov.
