Bank of Russia issued commemorative silver coin for Kirov's 650th anniversary

On the occasion of Kirov's city anniversary, the Bank of Russia issued a commemorative silver coin with a face value of 3 rubles, “650th anniversary of the founding of Kirov,” from the “Cities” series. The Central Bank's press service reported this.

A silver coin in the denomination of 3 rubles (the mass of the precious metal in purity is 31.1 g, and the fineness of the alloy is 925) is a circle with a diameter of 39.0 mm. A protruding edge surrounds the coin's circumference on the front and back sides.

On the front side of the coin, there is a relief image of the state emblem of the Russian Federation, inscriptions: “RUSSIAN FEDERATION,” “BANK OF RUSSIA,” coin denomination “3 RUBLES”, date “2024”, metal designation according to the Mendeleev Periodic Table of Elements, alloy fineness, commodity mark of the St. Petersburg Mint, and a mass of precious metal in purity.

On the reverse side of the coin, there are relief images of the sculptural composition “Meeting Place,” the Children's Space Center building, and the Witberg House against the background of a city landscape made using laser matting technique; at the top of the circumference, there is a relief inscription in three lines: “KIROV 650 YEARS.”

The circulation of the coin is 3 thousand pieces.

“The issued coin is a legal means of cash payment on the territory of the Russian Federation and is required to be accepted at face value in all types of payments without restrictions,” added the Bank of Russia's press service.
