Creative industries development concept was approved in Bashkiria

The development of creative industries was approved in the republic by decree of the Head of Bashkiria. The document was published on the official Internet portal of the Republic's legal information.

According to the decree, the Ministry of Culture of Bashkiria and interested government bodies were instructed to create an interdepartmental working group and develop a plan of priority measures to implement the concept. Government leaders must be guided by this concept when developing strategic development documents. For municipalities, this norm is advisory in nature.

The concept defines the concept of “creative industries.” These are areas of activity in which a company, organizations, associations, and individual entrepreneurs, in the process of creative and cultural activity, disposal of intellectual property, produce goods and provide services that have economic value, contribute to the formation of a harmonious developed personality and an increase in the quality of life of society. Among the creative industries are folk crafts, advertising, design, photography, fashion, music, and others. The concept characterizes the republic’s potential in the sphere of culture and education, which is also included in the sphere of creative industries.

The main goal of developing creative industries in Bashkiria is to ensure high growth rates in the creative sector of the economy and conditions for the creative self-realization of republic residents. The document describes the key directions for the development of creative industries: the creation of clusters, tourist spaces, art residences, etc.
