On May 9, copies of the Victory Banner will be hung on state authorities and local self-government buildings.
Ufa began preparations for the celebration of Victory Day long before its onset. The city has organized a festive decoration of streets and squares, and all festive art objects have been updated: the art object “79 Years of Victory” at the entrance along the Ufa-Orenburg road and the stele in Victory Park have been repaired, and flagpoles on Lenin Square have been repaired. War memorials, monuments, and mass graves have been brought into proper condition—work has been organized to clean and wash them.
As the eve of Victory Day approaches, educational and youth institutions are gearing up for engaging activities. These include lessons of courage, themed classes, excursions, creative events, competitions in military-applied and other sports, demonstration performances, and the poignant “Memory Watches.” This diverse range of events is designed to honor our history and inspire the younger generation.
