Guests of Moscow VDNKh together create felt carpet “Diverse Bashkortostan”

zFolk Art Week continues at the international exhibition “Rossiya” at VDNKh in Moscow. Now for many days, visitors to the Bashkortostan stand have been creating a felt carpet with unique “Diverse Bashkortostan” patterns.

The project will become a bright symbol reflecting the unity and richness of the cultural heritage of our republic and all of Russia, according to the regional government's website.

 Everyone is welcome to participate in this creative process. The carpet patterns are made using the more modern “dry felting” technique, and the carpet will be completed using the traditional “wet felting” technique. The product will be decorated with ornaments of the peoples living on the republic's territory.

The creation process is under the strict guidance of an experienced felting master, a member of the Union of Artists of Russia Laysan Gilmanova.

 “This work of art embodies not only the symbolism of friendship, harmony, and unity of Russia's multinational heritage but is also a vivid reflection of the cultural diversity and spiritual wealth of our beautiful country,” the master emphasized.

 The creative project will be completed and presented on April 29.
