Russia may extend program to help large families pay off their mortgages

The program to help large families pay off mortgages may be extended in Russia. Chairman of Parliament Vyacheslav Volodin said the corresponding bill has been submitted to the State Duma. The speaker noted that the bill will be considered at the next council meeting and then submitted for discussion at the plenary meeting as a matter of priority.

“The bill was prepared to implement the Address of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, to the Federal Assembly. The head of state set the task so that large families with third or subsequent children could receive a payment from the state of 450 thousand rubles to improve their living conditions. The State Duma is consistently working to expand measures to support families with children. Extending this program for another seven years is an important decision to increase housing affordability for large families”, said Vyacheslav Volodin.
