Central Bank issued coin for pianist Elena Gnesina anniversary

The Central Bank issued a commemorative coin in the "Outstanding Personalities of Russia" series to mark pianist Elena Gnesina's 150th anniversary.

Elena Gnesina is a famous pianist and teacher. Together with her sisters, in 1895, she founded a music school in Moscow, which, over the 72 years of her leadership, turned into a complex of educational institutions. Gnesinka is a symbol of brilliant musical education and is known to everyone who has connected or is planning to connect their destiny with music, the Central Bank notes in a release.
