Young scientists can receive 1 million rubles

Bashkiria's young scientists can receive grants of 1 million rubles for electronics developments. The UMNIK-Electronics grant competition aims to support young scientists and specialists from 18 to 35 who are passionate about creating innovative products in electronics and microelectronics.

According to the terms of the competition, the project must have a scientific supervisor: an employee of a university or scientific organization with a degree of at least a candidate of science. He is allocated 200 thousand rubles from the grant amount.

As Bashinform was told at the Center for Promotion of Innovation in the Republic, grant projects are selected in 11 areas:

— microelectronics;

— Microwave electronics;

— photonics and optoelectronics;

— power electronics;

— passive electronics and electrical engineering;

— materials and technologies for the production of electronic products;

— computer-aided design tools and specialized software;

— technological equipment for the production of microelectronics products, including components for such equipment;

— electronic component base based on new physical principles;

— components for equipment for the production of electronic modules and radio-electronic equipment;

— electronic modules and radio-electronic equipment.
