Maternity capital funds can be used for townhouse reconstruction in Russia
The Russian government reported that Russians will be able to use maternity capital funds to reconstruct residential buildings—townhouses and others—that have been blocked.
The support measure is available when renovating buildings of this type and after reconstruction.
“You can reconstruct housing either on your own or with the help of a construction organization. In the first case, the Social Fund will transfer maternity capital funds to the account of one of the parents, and in the second, it will be transferred to the enterprise account,” said the official Telegram channel of the federal government body.
It was earlier known that in 2023, 670,000 families in the republic improved their living conditions at the expense of maternal capital.
