Medical Trade Union of Bashkortostan considers it important to continue industry modernization

During a meeting with Vladimir Putin, the Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, spoke about the main directions of the socio-economic development of the republic. They discussed, in particular, the large-scale modernization of the healthcare system.

Commenting on the meeting's results, Raul Halfin, chairman of the Republican organization of the trade union of healthcare workers, called the scale of the industry renewal unprecedented in the republic's modern history.

“Many clinics, hospitals, and unique, specialized centers have been built, such as the Republican Center for Pediatric Oncology and Hematology, as well as paramedic and obstetric stations that assist residents of villages. Regarding the volume of repairs and construction of first aid stations, Bashkiria is one of the leaders in Russia, which is great. Of course, there are issues regarding personnel, but the republic approaches them systematically and comprehensively. We are preparing more specialists; branches of medical colleges that have opened in the republic's regions are helping with this; soon, their graduates will join the number of healthcare specialists; the number of budget places at BSMU has been increased. To attract specialists in scarce specialties in the region, a payment program has been introduced for three years for those who come to work in small settlements. There are only a few such programs in Russia. This is a large systematic work, a comprehensive strategy for modernizing the industry. I am convinced that the president’s support for Radiy Khabirov’s nomination for a second term is a guarantee that everything planned will be implemented,” emphasized Raul Halfin.
