At the plenary meeting of the State Assembly of Bashkortostan in April, deputies plan to consider the draft law “On Amendments to Article 5 of the Law of the Republic of Bashkortostan “On Ensuring Peace and Silence for Citizens.” The Republican Parliament's press service reported this.
According to the Chairman of the State Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Konstantin Tolkachev, the bill proposes to clarify some provisions regarding disturbing citizens' peace at night in connection with sports and other games. Current legislation prohibits making noise at night when playing games in residential areas. You cannot whistle, shout, or use sound-amplifying devices at night. However, the law does not cover noisy games in and of themselves in residential areas, although the players disturb the silence and interfere with people’s relaxation. The bill addresses this gap and prohibits such games from occurring at night.
It's important to note that the law does make exceptions for mass events, which are only allowed when organized by decision or with the consent of state authorities or local governments. This provision ensures that the law is flexible enough to accommodate necessary events while maintaining citizens' peace and silence. As a reminder, the law defines nighttime as the period from 23.00 to 7.00 on weekdays and from 23.00 to 9.00 on weekends and non-working holidays.
