Fines for spam calls will increase to million rubles
Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law that amends Articles 3.5 and 14.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences. The document is posted on the portal for the official publication of regulations.
The law tightens administrative liability for spam calls and loan advertisements without indicating their total cost. Thus, fines for legal entities can reach 1 million rubles (previously, it was 500 thousand rubles). Penalties for individuals will range from 10 to 20 thousand rubles, and for officials, 20 to 100 thousand rubles.
Microfinance organizations (MFOs) will be held liable for advertising that does not indicate the total cost of the loan. This information must be displayed in a font no smaller than the one in which the primary data is shown. For such violations, microfinance organizations will be fined from 600 thousand to 1.6 million rubles, and fines for officials will amount to 40-100 thousand rubles.
