Bashkiria hit Top 10 regions in scientific and technological development ranking

Bashkiria is among the top ten leaders in the National Rating of Scientific and Technological Development of Regions. Prime Minister of the Republic Andrey Nazarov stated this when speaking with the annual government report at the regional State Assembly.

This became possible, among other things, thanks to well-structured grant support for science, noted the head of the republican Cabinet.

Today, according to him, about 2 thousand young scientists are engaged in science in Bashkiria.

“Over 855 million rubles were allocated to support them. 60 projects of young graduate students and candidates of science were supported. The living conditions of 133 young scientific and pedagogical workers have been improved. 498 people completed internships at leading educational and scientific institutions,” said Andrey Nazarov.

The Prime Minister noted that the region created one of Russia's leading and most dynamically developing world-class Eurasian scientific and educational centers in less than five years. Also, at the beginning of this year in Ufa, with the participation of President Vladimir Putin, the first stage of the Interuniversity Student Campus - IQ Park - was put into operation. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin mentioned this in his report to the State Duma the day before.

Earlier, the Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, at a meeting with young scientists and graduate students, said that supporting young scientists and science will always be a priority for the republic’s management team.
