Andrey Nazarov announced main trends in Year of Family

In the best region for people to live - Bashkiria - comprehensive conditions should be created to support families and preserve health and self-realization. The key issues are family policy, protection, motherhood, and childhood. Here, we proceed from the principle: “In Bashkortostan, children are welcome, healthy, and happy!” This thesis was voiced at the regional government's annual report in the State Assembly by Prime Minister of the Republic Andrey Nazarov.

The main result of our five-year work was the preservation and development of the trend towards large families. The country's president noted in his message: “A large family with many children should become the norm, the philosophy of social life, the guideline of the entire state strategy.” Today, there are over 59 thousand large families in the republic. This is the first result in the Volga region and 7th place in the country. The proportion of third and subsequent births is growing. Compared to 2019, their number increased by more than 6 percentage points. The target is to increase the number of large families by 10%.

The birth rate in Bashkiria fully corresponds to the national average - 8.7 births per 1000 people. Infant mortality has halved. Here, the republic reached the minimum values in the region's entire history of statistical observation.

In the Year of the Family declared by the President of Russia, work continues to develop a comfortable, safe, and friendly environment for children and their parents.

Andrey Nazarov also announced a decrease in mortality. Last year, this figure was 11.7 cases per 1000 population, the lowest level in 25 years.
