New solar flare was registered

A strong flare occurred on the Sun, to which experts assigned the highest score of X. This was reported on March 29 at the Phobos weather center.

“Around midnight, a strong flare of the highest magnitude X was recorded on the Sun. The flare began at 23:29, half an hour before midnight Moscow time, and ended almost exactly at midnight, at 00:01,” the Phobos website states.

The outbreak occurred in the same active center No. 3615, which previously caused a strong magnetic storm of class G4 on March 24. According to scientists, the likelihood of solar flares will continue in the next two days.

“Based on observations, our star can maintain a high level of flare activity for about two more days, but the region is already in the safe zone, and by Monday (April 1—editor's note), it will completely go to the far side of the Sun. Although major solar events are still possible, the risks of their impact on Earth have been reduced to minimal levels,” they warned.
