The share of Telegram users in Ufa is 62%. The capital of Bashkiria ranks third in this indicator among Russian cities, with a population of over a million, ahead of Novosibirsk and Moscow. The MTS press service reported this.
The first and second positions in the ranking, with a slight separation from Ufa, were shared by St. Petersburg and Kazan (65% - 1st place), Krasnodar and Yekaterinburg (64% - second place). In general, at the end of the fourth quarter of 2023, the monthly number of Telegram users in Russia exceeded 85 million people. This is 10% higher than the corresponding period in 2022.
More than 70% of users actively use Telegram: in the fourth quarter of 2023, 63% of subscribers accessed the platform more than 25 times a month. Another 8% of users access the messenger 15 to 25 times a month. Analysts explain the high popularity of Telegram by the fact that, from an ordinary messenger, it has become a universal platform that allows the exchange of messages and the creation of public channels with the ability to comment, chat, and share stories.
