Head of Bashkiria visited transplantology center in Moscow

The head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, wrote on social networks about a meeting with the head of the Center for transplantology and Artificial Organs, Sergei Gauthier. They discussed the development of this important area of medicine in Bashkiria.

“The Shumakov Center is the world’s leading institution in transplantation. First of all, I thanked Sergei Vladimirovich for the fact that our transplant doctors are warmly received here. They undergo internships and improve their competencies. Transplantology in Bashkortostan is at a high level; our doctors perform unique operations and transplant hearts, lungs, and other organs. And our visit to this center is an opportunity to learn from experience and understand how and where to move forward,” wrote Radiy Khabirov.

The head of the republic noted that programs for developing transplantation services, donations, and support are being prepared in Bashkiria. Work in this direction continues.
