Bashkiria appreciated national public organizations' support

Deputy of the State Duma of Russia, Chairman of the National-Cultural Autonomy of the Tatars of Bashkortostan Rimma Utyasheva today, during a meeting between Radiy Khabirov and representatives of the Tatar community, expressed gratitude to the leadership of the republic for strengthening interethnic harmony and supporting national public organizations. She spoke about the main cultural and educational projects that the association implements. Among them are the children's drawing competition “Pushkin, Tukay and Karim,” the republican creative competitions-festivals “Tukay Monary” and “Ike Akkosh.” Funded by a grant from the Head of Bashkortostan, the folk festival “Uyna, Garmun!” is held annually, and at the expense of the presidential grant, the festival of traditional national cuisine, “BelishFest,” is held.

Rimma Utyasheva voiced several proposals. One is related to expanding state support for the association's cultural and educational projects.

“I suggest you actively submit applications to the Grant Fund of the Head of Bashkortostan. And we will increase the funding for your public initiatives to strengthen interethnic harmony. I also propose, together with the Ministry of Culture, identifying two or three key events we would include in a single calendar plan. We always support your organization, which is a kind of stronghold of friendship and mutual understanding, preserves and develops the language, traditions, and culture of the Tatar people,” said Radiy Khabirov.

Another request is to renovate the Tatar gymnasium No. 84 in Ufa, where 1,620 children study. The head of Bashkortostan instructed the republic's Ministry of Education to work on the issue of including it in the federal program to overhaul schools.

Rimma Utyasheva noted the need for new premises for the House of Friendship of the Peoples of Bashkortostan. Radiy Khabirov stated that one of the buildings in the historical center of Ufa will be selected for the organization.

“Representatives of the World Kurultai of Bashkirs and the Cathedral of Russians of Bashkortostan voiced the need for new premises for the House of Friendship of Peoples. This means that there is friendship between people in our republic. And new premises are needed,” the Head of the region emphasized.
