The Presidential Grants Foundation held a large-scale event, “Day of Non-Profit Organizations,” at the International Exhibition and Forum “Russia” at VDNKh. As part of the business program, the foundation organized events of various formats, and representatives of non-profit organizations held presentations of their projects, exhibitions of products from inclusive workshops, immersive performances, quizzes, and thematic master classes at regional stands for exhibition guests.
Leaders of non-profit organizations whose initiatives were included in the Top 100 best projects, participants of the NPO.Transformation schools in 2022 and 2023, as well as representatives of the executive bodies of entities responsible for supporting socially oriented non-profit organizations, came to tell guests and the media about their activities and find new like-minded people. Participants from the Republic of Bashkortostan were the General Director of the Grant Fund of the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Lucia Sayfullina, the director of the “Family” organization, Gulnaz Kamalova, the director of the Special Children Foundation, Fairuza Latypova, and the head of the Style Karate League of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Alexander Makhnovsky.
First Deputy Head of the Russian Presidential Administration Sergei Kiriyenko thanked the NPO for the scale of the implemented initiatives and also paid attention to the proposals and questions of the NPO leaders.
“Both the amount of support and the number of projects sound convincing. But what has been done must be measured not in rubles and projects, but in the destinies of the people we managed to support in difficult times,” he emphasized.
“Different sectors of the economy presented themselves at the Russia exhibition. The time has come for NGOs. This is a significant event. The non-profit sector acts on a par with powerful industries,” the head of the Presidential Grants Fund, Ilya Chukalin, addressed the event participants in the section “Non-Profit Organizations in Russia: 2000–2024.”
“The Republic of Bashkortostan was noted among the regions with the most significant changes in their financing. Indeed, the regional budget for supporting NPO projects in Bashkortostan has grown from 140 million rubles in 2021 to 280 million rubles in 2024. Republican NPO projects are supported by the Grant Fund of the Head of the Republic and the Presidential Grant Fund. Among them, some are among the Top 100 best projects, participate in Presidential Grants Fund educational programs, and worthily represent our republic at the federal level,” noted Lucia Saifullina.
