Russia has introduced self-ban on issuing loans

Tatyana Aksyutina

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law establishing a self-ban for residents of the country to issue consumer loans or loans. The corresponding document was published on the legal information portal.

The initiative allows citizens to further protect themselves from fraudsters who use stolen or fraudulently obtained personal data to issue loans and microloans in someone else’s name.

Establishing a ban through State Services or at a branch of the MFC will be possible, after which it will be reflected in the credit history. You can remove it at any time using the same principle.

Previously, Russia expanded the possibilities of regions in restructuring budget loans.
