Bashkiria entered the Top 5 of the quarterly ranking of Russian regions regarding employment prospects at the beginning of 2024. Analysts at hh.ru, Russia's largest online recruiting platform, prepared the study.
When compiling the rating, six parameters were taken into account: the ratio of the number of resumes to the number of vacancies on the market; proposed salary; living wage for the working population according to Rosstat; shares of resumes with the status “Not ready to move” and “I want to move”, unemployment rate according to the most current Rosstat data at the time of the study.
Thus, Tatarstan took first place regarding job prospects, and the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug took second place. The Ryazan region came in third, followed by the Sverdlovsk region. Bashkortostan closes the top five.
Bashkiria ranked fifth in job prospects at the beginning of 2024, scoring 74.4 points. There are 3.7 resumes per active vacancy in the region (in the Russian Federation, competition for jobs is slightly lower - 3.5). The median salary is 59,600 rubles, while the living wage for the working population is 14,991 rubles. Among applicants in the region, 72% indicate in their resumes that they are not ready to move, and only 1%, on the contrary, would like to leave the Republic of Bashkortostan.
Notably, Moscow was only in 65th place (68.19 points). Such a low position is explained by higher competition for jobs than in the country (4.8 resumes per vacancy) and a low ratio of median wages to the cost of living (84,400 rubles to 25,879 rubles).
In nominal terms, wages in Bashkiria increased by 15.4% - to 54,943 rubles, Bashinform News Agency previously wrote.
