Utility infrastructure modernization program has been approved in Bashkiria

The government discussed the issue of approving the state program “Formation of a Modern Urban Environment and Modernization of Public Utility Infrastructure Systems.”

“Every year, the region implements measures to improve the quality of the urban environment and the comfort of the housing stock. Thus, over the past 5 years, more than 680 public spaces have been improved for 7 billion rubles and 1.3 thousand courtyards for a total of 6.2 billion rubles. Selective major repairs were carried out in more than 4 thousand apartment buildings, investing more than 22 billion rubles. Special attention is paid to the modernization and development of communal infrastructure, including using the “infrastructure menu” tools and attracting federal funding,” said Prime Minister Andrey Nazarov.

In 2023, work on 8 projects was completed in Bashkortostan using borrowed funds from the National Welfare Fund with a total value of almost 2 billion rubles. We have begun implementing a five-year program to modernize public utility infrastructure. In addition, the possibility of a particular treasury loan introduced last year is being used to implement two large-scale projects worth 3.5 billion rubles.

“It is planned to continue this work and by 2030 reduce the rate of wear and tear of municipal infrastructure to 52.2% in the republic, as well as improve the quality of the urban environment from 18% to 51%. We don’t see any risks of not achieving the target parameters,” says Irina Golovanova, head of the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services of the Republic.

The Prime Minister instructed the department to ensure timely and high-quality submission of applications for participation in federal competitions to improve the urban environment and federal programs as part of the “infrastructure menu”. In addition, ensure the completion of ongoing projects to enhance public and courtyard areas and other programs within the established time frame.
