Head of Bashkiria was shown exhibits and told about Bashkiria scientists' achievements

Today, February 15, a ceremonial meeting dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences took place in Ufa. Before it began, the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov inspected the exhibition, where the institutes that are part of the Ufa Federal Research Center presented their achievements. The head of the center, Vasily Martynenko, and the scientific director of the Institute of Superplasticity of Metals of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Radik Mulyukov, spoke about priority research projects. Scientists at the Ufa Institute of Chemistry are working on creating a medical drug – an antiarrhythmic. This unique drug will save the lives of patients with arrhythmia. Scientists from the Institute of Ethnological Research showed unique finds during archaeological excavations near the village of Podymalovo and the Tura Khan mausoleum.

Director of the Institute of Biochemistry and Genetics Elsa Khusnutdinova said that for the first time in Bashkiria, the genome of the Bashkir bee was sequenced.

The director of the institute, Zugura Rakhmatullina, spoke about the large-scale digitalization of the folklore music library of the Institute of History, Language and Literature. Upon completion of the work, a digital file will be created. All records will be placed in an electronic database.

Director of the Institute for Problems of Superplasticity of Metals Radik Mulyukov noted that the Institute’s scientists have developed a key element for fifth-generation aircraft engines installed on Russian MS-21 passenger aircraft. PD-14 is the first turbofan engine developed in Russia. Bashkir scientists developed its key details.
