Russian banks are obliged to warn clients about deposit closure
Banks will be required to inform their customers about the expiration of their deposits. The Central Bank of Russia reported this.
By law, banks are required to notify depositors no later than five days before the end of the deposit period, the regulator said. It is noted that the measure will allow a person to quickly decide on their savings, for example, to re-register or close a deposit on time.
The Central Bank added that the depositor's method when agreeing with the bank will be used during the information process. Notifications will be free.
