Large multifunctional sports and recreation center will be opened for Ufa anniversary
In the year of the 450th anniversary of Ufa, several large sports facilities will be opened in the city, the Head of Bashkiria says on his social media. One is a sports and recreation center on Mendeleev Street, which is being built as part of the Gazprom for Children program.
“Today, we saw how work is going on here. This facility is unique- a swimming pool, an ice arena, a large gym, and game rooms will be under one roof. Both children and adults can enjoy it. The location was also well chosen - such a sports center was very much needed in this area,” said Radiy Khabirov.
The head of the republic noted that work on the construction of sports infrastructure will continue both in Ufa and in the regions because there is great interest in sports and physical education:
“We pay great attention to sports development in Bashkortostan, especially for children. In addition to anniversary facilities, we are building several gyms with the participation of businesses as part of a public-private partnership. There is still a lot of work ahead."
