

In Bashkiria, the “Teenagers of Russia” program has become one of the priorities. More than 400 thousand teenagers in the republic need special attention. It is at this age that children are most susceptible to destructive behavior, noted the Commissioner for Children’s Rights in the Republic of Bashkortostan, Olga Panchikhina.
Speaking at the fifth meeting of the State Assembly of the Republic, she said that several projects were launched for teenagers under the auspices of the Commissioner to involve them in volunteer activities, social projects, and initiatives, and the implementation of the projects yielded results.
In August 2023, the “That Very Place” space was opened in Ufa, among the winners of the federal competition for adolescent socialization programs, held under the auspices of the Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights. Maria Lvova-Belova, as part of her visit to the republic in September, visited “That very place”, where she talked with teenagers.
In October, 10 teenagers from Bashkiria, who were enrolled in various types of preventive registration, took part in the all-Russian session “The Power of Russia” in Chelyabinsk. Educational advisers from our republic participated in the organization of this shift; a meeting was held with advisers and representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic, where we discussed holding a similar shift in our region.
Since June 2023, our republic has participated in the monthly #GiveWarmth campaign to inform teenagers about accessible, educational, safe, and free ways to spend free time in their city or region. The children's public council members go out into the streets and tell other children about leisure places for teenagers; the Federal Teen Center determines the theme of the “I Give Warmth” campaign. The next event will take place from February 16 to 18.
In October, the second composition of the Children's Public Council was formed, which included 85 children. In 2023, the children's council initiated a round table on popularizing books and reading, holding events on legal assistance to children, holding campaigns on child safety in the summer and winter, and organizing many student surveys on preventing school bullying. On June 27, the Day of Remembrance of Children Victims of the War in Donbas was held in cities and regions of the republic.
Since 2022, the federal forum “RosPodros” has been held for specialists and teenagers themselves; in August, it was proposed to hold regional meetings to discuss current issues relating to teenagers, their development and education, and participation in social projects and initiatives. In November, the regional forum “RosPodros” was held, with 120 people participating. The participants developed public initiatives for the republic's children in childhood safety, legal education, and employment of teenagers; these ideas will be implemented in 2024. During the winter holidays, the regional teenage session “Get Your Dream” was held with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic at the Patriot Center. The children took part in master classes and trainings aimed at improving the legal culture of adolescents, the safety of minors, issues of patriotic education, and volunteer activities.
